Red Pedal Press is a new fledgling imprint based in Australia. Our intent is to craft high quality, beautifully edited stories filled with heart and humour for children.
Our first publication, Snap Magic, has gone through an intensive editing and design process with high-level professional editor, Catherine McCredie (former senior editor at Penguin Australia – children's and young adult), and the highly experienced book design team at Book Cover Cafe.
Snap Magic began as a humorous anecdote of tween moments first captured in a short story called Snap – shortlisted in the Charlotte Duncan Award 2009. The idea to use Snap as the springboard for a light-hearted children's novel resulted in Snap Magic 's longlisting in the Greenhouse Funny Prize 2013 for unpublished manuscripts.
Unfortunately we are not taking submissions at this time.
